Action Locksmith started
business on May 21, 1963, and soon became solely
owned by Bob and Charlotte Henke. Action
Locksmith changed its name in 1983 to more
accurately describe its purpose: Action
Security, Inc.
Action Security has grown
over the years to the current size of over 50
employees in six operating divisions, becoming
the largest and most complete security firm in
Alaska. Unlike many companies that employ
a "one-size-fits-all" or a "sell
and move on" approach to their customer
relationships, Action Security is organized into
distinct strategic business units that are able
to focus on delivering value to each of our
clients. These business units are:
Action
Retail Service has two retail stores in
Anchorage, and one in Fairbanks. Retail services
include lock repair, key duplication and lock
& safe combination changes. The products
that are sold at these stores include security
items, keys, lock & door hardware, and safes
for all purposes.
Action
Locksmiths Services provides Anchorage,
Fairbanks and Juneau with 24/7 radio dispatched
mobile van units. These units have the
capability of installing and servicing every
product sold by the retail operation. Also,
technicians respond to emergency calls for
on-site building and vehicle entry, safe and
lock combination changes, etc.
Action
Bank Security Services is Alaska's only
service company that has trained technicians on
site in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau to
provide immediate response time to the banking
industry. Action is proud to be a member of
National Independent Bank Equipment &
Systems Association (NIBESA).
Action
Electronic Security Services provides access
control, closed circuit television, intercom and
alarm solutions, and it supplies and services
electronic security products for a variety of
government, commercial and residential
customers. This division also monitors
more than 200 residential alarm accounts.

hardware distributor in Alaska. This division
stocks and sells hardware products made by more
